Biothe last drop of saddness fell from her eye
and stained her writing slightly.
despite what he says, she knows in her head
she would do anything for him.
and even though he doesnt feel the same
this tough love falls down like rain.
despite what he says, she knows in her head
the words he will say; the words she will dread.
she crumples up the paper and throws it away
maybe the sun will shine on her face today.
despite what he says, she knows in her head
that no matter what, he's her sunshine.
another page wasted; another hour gone
time spent alone has seemed to be so long.
despite what he told her, she knows its not true
that he cant possibly love her, and love me too.
so he chose the better girl to remain in his life
and do you know who that girl was?
despite the cruel words he spoke to her that night
she knew that deep down, what he said was right.
why does she suspect him of having an ounce of compassion in his body for her?
shame on her for ever loving a great guy like him.
despite the haunting words that float in her head
she knew that she was better off dead.
the last drop of sadness fell from her wrist
and stained her poetry, oh so slightly.

that he loves her, but silly boy, she loves you too.
